This Privacy Policy explains how Louis Nel, a sole proprietor trading as PostAnything ("we," "us," or "our"), of 12 Pipit Street, Cape Town, South Africa, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use PostAnything (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. We are the controller for the personal data we collect about users of the Service, except for payment and billing data, which Paddle (see Section 4) collects and controls independently as the merchant of record for the Service. For privacy questions, contact us at support@postanything.ai.
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). If you contact support or submit our contact form, we collect your name, email, and message.
We collect the ideas, text, photos, videos, audio, links, and brand/voice details you give us so we can generate captions, create posts, and schedule them on your behalf.
When you connect a social platform (such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, TikTok, or YouTube), we receive an authorization token and basic account details (such as account name and ID) needed to publish content and read post status on your behalf. We do not receive or store your social platform password.
We automatically collect information such as login activity, feature usage, device/browser type, and IP address, to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
We process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you've signed up for), our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the Service, and to prevent abuse), your consent (where we ask for it, such as certain communications), and compliance with legal obligations.
To generate captions, analyze images, and transcribe audio, we send relevant content to third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI) via their API. This processing is used solely to deliver the feature you requested, and is governed by that provider's own data handling terms in addition to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| Social media platforms you connect | To publish, schedule, and report on your posts |
| Our social-posting infrastructure provider | To deliver your posts to the platforms you've connected |
| AI providers (currently OpenAI) | To generate captions and analyze media you submit |
| Email delivery provider | To send account and transactional emails |
| Paddle (if you're on a paid plan) — our merchant of record | To sell subscriptions, collect payment, manage billing and renewals, and handle tax/VAT compliance and invoicing on our behalf — we do not store full card numbers |
| Legal & safety | Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PostAnything or others |
Each social platform you connect has its own privacy policy and terms governing the data it holds about you. Connecting an account to PostAnything does not change that platform's own relationship with you — we act only as a tool you've authorized to publish on your behalf.
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences (such as light/dark theme). We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
We retain account information and content for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update your account details from your account settings, disconnect a social account at any time, or contact us at support@postanything.ai to exercise these rights, including requesting deletion of your account and associated data.
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We operate from South Africa, and the third-party providers listed in Section 5 may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States and the United Kingdom/European Economic Area. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us at support@postanything.ai.
